Background: I have been working at Bench Mark Program since January 2020. I have one dog. Before coming to Bench Mark Program, I was a barber for about a year.

Title/Responsibilities: My title is Open Gym Coordinator. My responsibilities include assisting students with workouts, as well as connecting students to other staff, student leaders, and mentors for different areas of needs like resume writing or help with school work. I also help out with our Student Leadership Program (SLP) and work closely with the students in SLP helping them with daily task and getting them ready for what they’ll be doing each day. When needed, I also help out with our Strength-Based Skill Building (SBSB) Program.

What is one of the best things about being a part of the Bench Mark Program team?- The best thing about being on the Bench Mark Program team is the family feeling that we have in our space as we try to make everyone who comes down feel like they are apart of our big Bench Mark Program family.

How have you seen Bench Mark Program impact the community? I have definitely seen some of our impact in our community when I’m out and see some of our students in different parts of their lives outside of the gym making an effort to do better in those area’s whether thats school, work, or just walking around town.

What excites you about Bench Marks future? Something that excites me about the future of Bench Mark Program is our new space and the new opportunities that will come with the new space, especially seeing some new faces down at the gym as we will be going into a whole new area of our community.

What are some of your hobbies? Some of my hobbies are riding motorcycles, lifting weights, playing video games, and just hanging with friends.

What job did you want to do when you were growing up? Growing up, I enjoyed playing sports so I always wanted to do something that involved some sort of physical activity and had that team feel, and I believe I found that in Bench Mark Program.

What would be your dream place to take a vacation? My dream place to go on a vacation would have to be Egypt. I would love to see the Pyramids and experience the culture.

What is the most adventurous thing you have done? I'm not too adventurous, but I’d say the most adventurous thing that I’ve done is go camping every year with my family.

What is one goal you would like to accomplish in your lifetime? One goal that I would like to accomplish in my lifetime would be buying my mom a new house and a car (it wouldn’t even be close to the amount of things that she has done for me but that is one of my big goals that I’ve had for myself since as long as I can remember).
